Broker, CNE, CRS, CLHMS, SRES

David is an award-winning Real Estate Broker widely recognized across the region for his expertise, honesty and generosity. His keen understanding of the market is built on 30 years of entrepreneurial success. As a basketball fan, he was delighted when a client recently nicknamed him the “Michael Jordan of Real Estate”.
Dedicated to raising industry standards for professionals and the public, David serves his clients, shares his knowledge and builds relationships as a full-time Realtor, a weekly real estate advice columnist, a Director with the Real Estate Council of Ontario (RECO), and an active philanthropist. When local buyers and sellers need straightforward real estate advice, they know to just “Ask David”. David believes that knowledge is power, seizing every opportunity to learn more in order to serve his clients better. He has earned his stripes as a Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist (CLHMS), a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), a Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES), a Certified Negotiation Expert (CNE), and recently completed the Negotiation Mastery course from Harvard Business School. As the author of “Ask David…”, a weekly real estate advice column in the Waterloo Region Record and on TheRecord.com, David welcomes questions from homeowners and freely shares his knowledge in an easy-to-read, down to earth format. The column has been so popular that it now runs in Metroland affiliate papers across Ontario. A community builder by nature, David has spent the past (pre-pandemic) decade hosting “Stuff the Hummer” family events that have raised over 200,000 emergency meals for the Food Bank of Waterloo Region, and also fundraises for OneROOF Youth Services, Hockey Helps the Homeless and Breast Cancer Research. He has been awarded Top Fundraising Agent by Children’s Health Foundation and Children’s Miracle Network three out of the past four years, and donates to these organizations each time his clients buy or sell a property.
Richard is a Full-Time, Full-Service Realtor, a Certified Negotiation Expert (CNE), Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) & Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES). He serves the tri-cities (Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge) and surrounding areas including New Hamburg, Ayr, St. Jacobs and Elmira.
Having lived and worked in the region for over 20 years, Richard is well acquainted with our many local neighbourhoods. As the former owner of a restaurant and an automotive service shop (who grew up Ontario’s tobacco belt), he brings a unique brand of wisdom coveted by his commercial and rural clients. Richard dedicates countless hours to volunteering. He is an active member of the Kinsmen Club of Kitchener-Waterloo (where he served as President for 3 years) and for the past 4 years has also been a member of the Board of Directors for K-W Habilitation Services. Richard has worked with David on numerous business ventures in the past, which made partnering with the GoingHome Team a natural choice when he brought his real estate practice to Remax Twin City.

REALTOR ®

Karen delights in meeting new people and introducing them to the region where she has lived and worked for over 30 years. With personal ties to Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge, she knows the tri-cities like the back of her hand and greatly enjoys the tapestry of cultures and festivals that blanket our thriving region.
With extensive experience in the field of market research, Karen understands the vital importance of customer satisfaction. As a Mortgage Operations Analyst with Sun Life, she has gained significant insight into the financial aspects of the real estate industry. She combines these skills with an immense respect for the trust that clients place in her, feeling honoured by the opportunity to help them with the most important purchase of their lives. Karen takes great joy in the hectic nature of family life. As mom to a creative 9 year old daughter, 3 cats and a Border Collie/Blue Heeler cross, she identifies with the needs and challenges of moving with a growing family. Her heart for home ownership extends to those who don’t have the opportunity. As an active fundraiser for Ray of Hope’s “Coldest Night of the Year”, she works to support services for homeless individuals in our area.
Kate is a professional writer and natural organizer who has found her balance juggling the marketing and event planning side of the GoingHome Team.
Kate began her career as Supervising Producer at an independent television production company in Toronto. She wrote and produced a variety of travel and lifestyle series for CanWest Global, Outdoor Life and others, the most prolific of which took her on location across the US, Canada and into Europe. Nearly a decade later, the rigours of travel television gave way to the more predictable lifestyle of a freelance writer, as Kate filled her roster with projects for national corporate clients and a number of area school boards. These days, Kate manages communications and administration for the team. She has been a driving force behind the “Stuff the Hummer” Campaign, which this year is set to surpass the milestone of 200,000 emergency meals raised for the Food Bank of Waterloo Region.
